Lower = sharper and bigger, higher = smaller and softer. CRF ignores the target size — the encoder picks whatever bitrate the picture needs.
Working in this tab — keep it open and your screen on until it finishes. Switching apps or locking the phone can stop the encode.

Output: MP4, WebM, or MOV. Very large files may struggle on phones (limits: 300 MB on iPhone, 500 MB on other phones, 1.5 GB on desktop) — the compression engine (~30 MB) downloads once, the first time you compress, from unpkg with a jsDelivr backup.
ZIP shrinks files without changing a single byte — unzipping gives you back the originals exactly. But files that are already compressed (videos, photos, MP3s, existing zips) barely shrink; for those, ZIP mainly bundles many files into one download. For videos use Compress, for photos use Images.
For photos and scans. Pick a target size — quality drops first, then dimensions, until it fits. Output is JPEG (smallest); transparency is flattened to white. Already-tiny images are left alone.
Best for scanned PDFs and forms. Pages are rebuilt as images at lower resolution and quality until the file fits — text will no longer be selectable or copyable. Password-protected PDFs are not supported.
